The CityReach Matching Grant is designed to catalyze Church unity through citywide evangelism campaigns by providing matching funds of up to $25,000. These funds help send invitations to every household in the area, connecting them with a Christ-centered church nearby.

Grant Coverage

Receiving a CityReach Matching Grant is more than receiving dollars, it's gaining a partner in reaching your city for Christ.

The awarded citywide church will receive up to $25,000 dollars to substantially cover getting a personal invitation to a Christ-centered church in the hands of every person in their area.
- The complete cost of sending a personal invitation to every household in a city is $.22/ea. ($.11 of that accounting for nonprofit postage). At this cost, the Grant would allow a network to reach over 225,000 households for just the cost of postage!
Beyond a postcard.
- Each oversized postcard will have a smart link to a citywide church landing page for recipients to view a comprehensive map of churches near them (including a live link to the church's website and an option to communicate via text with the network or individual church).
- Using USPS Informed Delivery, all participating households will also receive an email on top of the physical invitation!
- Our partners at Outreach Inc. will ensure that all Christian churches in the applicant's city are invited to join the campaign, increasing the reach of a network considerably.
In addition, all participating churches will gain access to the following resources:
- Coaching content and live webinar trainings to help equip their church to welcome, retain and disciple new guests.
- Free church kits and resources to continue the discipleship of new and growing Christians.
- Access to a church-leaders webpage for collaboration and encouragement along the way.
- Access to a comprehensive church communication software ideal for ensuring no one falls through the cracks.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the CityReach Matching Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Stable Leadership:
- The citywide network must be led by a person/organization of credibility and trust within the city.
Collaborative Participation:
- CityReach's aim in providing this Grant is to catalyze unity across the citywide church; therefore, this campaign must be open to all Christ-centered churches in a given area.
- Our goal is at least 50% of a city's churches participate in this campaign.
Shared Beliefs:
- All participating churches must adhere to the Nicene Creed as a foundation of their shared faith and unity.
Matching Funds Commitment:
- The applicant(s) must demonstrate the willingness and ability to provide or secure matching funds equivalent to the grant amount requested.

Reporting Requirements

A representative from every participating church will be required to complete a ten-minute experience survey.

*Grant funds will not be disbursed directly to the recipient(s). They will be paid to our partner Outreach Inc. on behalf of the recipient(s) behalf to cover all costs associated with the design, printing and handling of the invitation.
**Recipient(s) are responsible for covering the cost of postage at the national nonprofit rate of $.11/ea. and must be paid at least 60 days before the mailing date.
